Child Lures Prevention Program
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops established a Charter for the Protection of Children and Youth. As part of the Church’s ongoing commitment to create a safe environment within the church, all Religious Education Programs of the Archdiocese of Hartford will be presenting the Child Lures Prevention Program to its students.
The Child Lures Prevention Program will develop a basic understanding of the specific lures used in crimes against children and youth, as well as helping your child learn proven prevention strategies. The Child Lures Prevention Program is age appropriate and has been promulgated by Archbishop Blair. More information regarding Child Lures Prevention Program can be found at their website: childluresprevention.com or by calling the Director of Safe Environment, Archdiocese of Hartford at 860-541-6491.
Child Lures Prevention Program will be presented to all students in Grades 1-8 during regularly scheduled Religious Education classes. All parents are welcome to attend, but it is not mandatory. If you have any questions regarding this program or wish to observe your child’s class when it is presented, please feel free to contact Annette at the RE Office at 203-758-1346.
