Greetings in the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ!

It is with great joy that we welcome you, in the name of Jesus Christ, to our vibrant and prayerful parish family, St. John of the Cross in Middlebury, Connecticut. Our “brick and mortar” location is in the heart of Middlebury, on the Green, in our beautiful church which is over one hundred years old. Find us on Whittemore Road, on the corner of South Street. The church is a quaint and lovely fieldstone structure, built generations ago by the hands of many skilled artisans by the “sweat of their brow.”

Our parish is built today, not in fieldstone, but in the hearts of good people of every chronological age, who seek to deepen and celebrate their relationship with Jesus Christ, the Lord of lords and King of kings. So many good people, many working quietly and behind the scenes, build up this family of faith by their acts of charity, self sacrifice, and holiness. Some teach religious education, others sing in the choir, others greet people as ushers, others help to distribute Holy Communion or proclaim the Word of God. We come from all age groups, collaborating to give glory and praise to Jesus Christ, our Savior, in celebrating our Roman Catholic faith. We cherish our children and young adults, and we are very proud of our active youth program (Liturgy of the Word for Children) and our peer ministry outreach.

YOU and your family are most welcome here. Come and see and celebrate, in Word and Sacrament, our faith in Jesus Christ. Use this website to its fullest potential, seeking whatever information you need. Join us, come to Mass and bring your family; I assure you that you will be glad you did!

If for some reason you do not find information you are looking for, feel welcome to call the Parish House at (203) 758-2659. I would enjoy the opportunity to speak with you personally.

Yours sincerely in Christ’s peace,

Father Dennis J. Vincenzo
